VD Series
Our VD Series evaporator louver disinfection system is a high efficiency UVC disinfection system that is used to offer reliable - chemical free - disinfection of evaporator fins and maintain cleanliness. This effectively eliminates germs, viruses, yeast and mould spores and prevents propagation.
Biofilms normally build up on evaporator fins with time which contaminates the room air with germs and can result in a displeasing odour development in the ventilation system. Biofilms also negatively impact the efficiency of heat transfer in the evaporator which causes an increase in energy consumption.
VD is available in a range of lengths and sizes to suit all evaporator models and sizes. It can be easily integrated in existing ventilation systems.
How does it work?
The VD disinfection system is installed in front of evaporator fins where high efficiency UVC emitters provide continuous UVC irradiation to the evaporator fins. This keeps the evaporator louvers clean by controlling the growth of germs and the formation of biofilms on evaporator fins which improves air quality, as well as optimising heat transmission and energy consumption.
